Drury Avenue Infill — Bridgeland-Riverside, Calgary

Perched on the south-facing slope of Bridgeland-Riverside, this custom infill takes on one of the steepest grades we’ve worked with — a challenging lot that, in return, offers sweeping downtown views.

The home stacks across four levels, with the garage tucked into the lowest floor and living spaces layered above. The main floor opens onto a large south-facing deck, while the upper levels include private bedrooms, a family loft, and balconies that capture the city skyline. A developed basement adds recreation and fitness space, connecting out to a sheltered patio beneath the deck.

The exterior uses a mix of off-white and dark stucco, brick, and warm wood accents, giving the house a contemporary face while grounding it against the hillside. Retaining walls, landscaped terraces, and a green roof over the garage tie the building back into the slope.

This project leverages the extreme grading, layering spaces along the slope to connect indoor and outdoor living while framing downtown views.
