Elkton Close Residence II — Calgary

This home in Springbank Hill is the second hillside residence we designed along Elkton Close for Ken Homes. The steep lot set the framework: garage and recreation areas on the lowest level, with the main living spaces and upper bedrooms stepping above.

The program is extensive — a four-car garage, theatre, gym, office, and guest suite at the base; open living, dining, and kitchen with a spice kitchen and outdoor patio above; and four bedrooms and a bonus room on the top floor. An elevator connects all levels, ensuring ease of circulation throughout the house.

The exterior blends off-white and dark stucco with natural wood, Lux panels, and stone accents. Broad decks, pergolas, and balconies wrap around the south-facing elevations, connecting the house to outdoor living while framing long views. Heated concrete driveways and retaining walls help anchor the home into its slope.

The Elkton Close Residence II shows how hillside lots can be shaped into multi-level living, turning challenging topography into a series of layered spaces indoors and out.
