Property Description

Haysboro 10 — Calgary

Set in the established community of Haysboro, this ten-unit project was on a parcel the City pre-designated for H-GO housing based on location and planning policy. While the site is generally flat, an overhead power line along the side property line added significant complexity to the layout and servicing.

The design organizes the ten units in an atypical arrangement: five paired homes running front-to-back. Each has its own entry, porch, and balcony, while the interiors are spread over three levels plus a basement. A shared courtyard and detached lane-access garages add outdoor amenity and parking, keeping the street frontage pedestrian-friendly.

Cladding in stone, Hardie panels, and architectural metal gives the project a contemporary feel, while variation in massing and balcony placement breaks down the block into townhouse-scaled elements.

Haysboro 10 highlights how H-GO projects can take shape in mature neighborhoods — working through infrastructure constraints like power lines while delivering new housing options that fit the community fabric.
